Our Family
Every recipe is inspired by a member of our family. Their stories are the heart of everything we do.
Gizmo
2014 – 2019
Gizmo was a beautiful Shih-Tzu who rescued us on June 3, 2014. He was passionate about life, brave and strong. With a big personality, and even larger spirit, he loved going for drives, always enjoying the sun and breeze on his face; visiting wineries, airports, watching fireworks, vacationing and adventures. He also loved birds and squirrels, and pushing his face into flowers; ice cream, mango shakes, and any meals and treats with chicken. Most of all he loved his daddy, brother Sam, and mommy.

Sam
Rescued via Team Dog Rescue
How can we describe our Sam, or as we called him, Samlove? He was a strong and stoic little big man, protective of his brother Gizmo, and his whole family. He was originally turned in to Kingston Humane Society, and came to us by way of Team Dog Rescue. He had many health issues from his former life, and it took awhile for him to feel his best.

Cookie
Adopted at age 11 via Paws & Tails
Cookie-Love came to us at eleven years old. She came from a lovely woman named Shirley who runs Paws & Tails Adoptions in Mississauga. Turned in by a backyard breeder, she was given an ultrasound to ensure she wasn't pregnant, and underwent surgery to fix her untreated hernia. She was cute, but had quite a bit of unhealthy fat, and couldn't walk much post surgery.

Our Fosters
2021
We enjoyed the company of a few fosters during 2021. Here are a little bit about them. We found it very hard to pass them on, even though they went to fine homes and families.
